I was not convinced that there were Republicans left who had any courage. The gutless Republicans who bought into this raping of the constitution should be forever shamed. Those who voted for the bill in Congress imposing a Bill of Attainder against the AIG bonuses, are treasonous opportunists who don't have the courage to stand tall when it may not be popular. They should be voted out of office and made to appear in public apologizing to their fellow Americans for not having the guts to live up to their oath to uphold the United States Constitution.
I took the oath twice to uphold the U.S. Constitution and I have endeavored to do my best to live up to it all my life. These opportunistic, weak-kneed pansies are a disgrace to all Americans.
Thankfully, the Senate is serving its constitutional purpose of acting as a cooling influence on the crazy people in the House of Representatives. Senator John Kyl is one of the few congressmen of the Republican persuasion with courage. He doesn't get a lot of publicity except in these instances where the MSM takes umbrage at his audacity (pun intended) that the constitution should be the law of the land and not a weapon to be used against your enemies. Heck, even Rangle wanted to vote against the bill, but unfortunately he didn't have the courage.
Call your congressional representatives and suggest they take a bravery pill and stand up for the constitution.
Read this and sober up:
First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out--
because I was not a communist;
Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out--
because I was not a socialist;
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out--
because I was not a trade unionist;
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out--
because I was not a Jew;
Then they came for me--
and there was no one left to speak out for me.

What happens when there is no one left to speak up for you?

Excellent post. Thank you for your service (and I say that sincerely.)
I posted the same video you did below this post. This is a very important topic and your words covered it well.
Leslie,
Thanks for the visit. I am appalled that we as a country would celebrate something like this. I'll check out your post.
L& O Teach, Your are right on target....and they will be coming sooner than later.....stay well....
Tap,
Thanks for the visit. I agree. We are on a road from which there may be no return. I haven't seen congress this out of control in my lifetime. In 1975, the congress allowed the Vietnamese to be swallowed up by the commies. That effectively trumped the sacrifice to over 58,000 Americans.
This situation is steaming in that direction.
