In questions of power, then, let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution." --Thomas Jefferson: Draft Kentucky Resolutions

MICKEY MOUSE CLUB
I think most kids in the 50s and 60s loved the Mickey Mouse Club. Annette certainly attracted most adlolescent boys, me included. Here's one of her songs.

I was not around during the 50s and 60s but I'm sure if I was, it would attract my attention as well :).
CH, Thanks for the visit. I worried about posting this being as how I am an old man now. But then I thought that it was something that was about my youth. She was every boy's dream girl. My wife said to go ahead and post it. She remembers her brothers being glued to the TV when MMC came on. There you go.
She was the face and image that all boys wanted as a girl friend and perhaps looked for those same qualities as a wife. It is a shame that today's youth look and desire the slutty tramps that permeate the television today. Oh, for the days of our youth. Thanks for the memories.

Z,PH, As we get older our memories go into overdrive. I guess that's a natural longing for the good old days, when we were stronger, younger, but alas, dumber. Thanks for visiting.

Oh, Good..I guess you're right. I've been watching LEAVE IT TO BEAVER reruns and thinking I'm losing my mind! It's just so calming and reassuring, right!?
I am a retired police officer. In an inexplicable moment of madness I then became a high school history teacher in 2002. As I navigate through daily life I am keenly aware that my generation owes the country an apology for the 1960s. Although I was not an active participant, on behalf of all the burned out hippies that are leading most of our institutions of higher learning, I'm sorry!
