In questions of power, then, let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution." --Thomas Jefferson: Draft Kentucky Resolutions

DAY IS DONE
It was extremely moving when TAPS was played for my dad. Day is done. Thank you.
obob and eht, Thanks for your visit. We are getting along slowly but surely. I am trying to adjust, but I think it will take a lot of time. My mother is having a tough time. She needs to learn about finances and such. Thanks again.
I am a retired police officer. In an inexplicable moment of madness I then became a high school history teacher in 2002. As I navigate through daily life I am keenly aware that my generation owes the country an apology for the 1960s. Although I was not an active participant, on behalf of all the burned out hippies that are leading most of our institutions of higher learning, I'm sorry!

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. My prayers are with you.
I found you through Polski's blog....glad I did, but I am sorry for your recent loss. I lost my mother a couple of years ago. I understand.

I was saddened to read about you losing your father. My thoughts go out to you and your family.
You mom is lucky to have you for a son, I know you'll be there for her in the future.
