Senator Ted Stevens killed in plane crash

This is just a question. I wonder of the president will speak at a memorial for Ted Stevens who was killed yesterday in a plane crash. Stevens was a bona fide hero of the Second World War, who after the war got a bachelor's degree from UCLA and a law degree from Harvard. He served for many years as a Republican senator from Alaska. Certainly he didn't feel the need to join the KKK, but he did lead a distinguished life. He was convicted of corruption charges that were later overturned by a federal judge due to prosecutorial misconduct. All in all, a life well-lived.
