I WAS JUST THINKING-III
"Society has good reason to fear the Radical...He hits, he hurts, he is dangerous. Conservative interests know that while Liberals are most adept at breaking their own necks with their toungues, Radicals are adept at breaking the necks of Conservatives."
"Change means movement, movement means friction. Only in the frictionless vacuum of a nonexistent abstract world can movement or change occur without that abrasive friction of conflict."
"The Radical may resort to the sword but when he does he is not filled with hatred against those individuals whom he attacks. He hates these individuals not as persons but as symbols representing ideas or interests which he believes to be inimical to the welfare of the people."
SAUL ALINSKY
"That Che Guevara has become a chic branding tool is a disgusting indictment of both American consumer culture and the know-nothing liberalism that constitutes the filthy residue of the 1960s New Left."

jonah is dead on the ignorance of the American intelligentsia and tyranny of communism. che was a butcher who has a "cool" iconic image. so did stalin if you lived in the cccp or hitler in nazi germany.
The embrace of the radical agenda by young people and alleged intellects shows the lack of real world awareness. There are bad people and kumbawa does not solve all the crises of the world. Sometimes you have to say and no and punch back.
Obob,
Thanks for the visit. Che is crap and the people who lionize this guy are crap with him.
On your recommendation, I've been reading "Democracy in America" (De Tocqueville)and ran across this insightful quote:
"...When the American republics begin to degenerate, I believe that one will be able to recognize it easily: It will be enough to see if the number of political judgments rises"
I wonder what De Tocqueville would have to say about American Democracy today?
I fear that we might be on the decline now.
