In questions of power, then, let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution." --Thomas Jefferson: Draft Kentucky Resolutions

LOVE SONG-MELT MY HEART-CATCH MY BREATH
Love song? Oh yeah. She is the best at this song. What a voice. I could listen to this a million times.
I have seen your posts on Donald Douglas' blog and then noticed the Air Force Security Police Shield....then the fact you were from Ohio, then the Dayton Police Badge, then the fact that you teach HS History.
Now those are connects: I was a AF Cop from 1968-72...stationed at Nha Trang and Tan Son Nhut with the 14th SPS and 377th in 1969 and 70. Live about 60 miles north of Dayton, Wife and youngest son are both Wright State Grads(wife Special Ed teacher, Son HS Social Science/History), youngest in currently in Grad School at WSU and student teaching/sub teaching History at Fairborn High School, just outside Wright-Patterson.
Small world indeed....are you a member of the VSPA?
Chris H., Thanks for the visit. I enjoy your site.
PH, Small world indeed. I teach at West Carrollton HS. I coach girl's soccer and have played FHS many times. I was USAF 1971-75. Duty stations were Kadena AB, Okinawa, DaNang AB, TDY 1972 (Short time) Lowry AFB, Colorado. No, I don't belong. My 214 doesn't show duty stations. I'll have to get it updated. All other things are uncannily the same. Talk to you later.
L&E Teach...TDY at DaNang makes you eligible for VSPA....drop Phil Carroll a line and he can tell you how to get updated. His e-mail is on the site. Lowry was a duty station of my dad during WW2.
Son Hal, is helping with the FHS Baseball team this year. He plans on teaching history and coaching baseball when he finishes grad school this spring. I coached baseball, soccer, and youth football, for many years and currently officiate Varsity Baseball, football, and sub varsity basketball at the High School level from the north Miami Valley to the Michigan and Indiana state lines...keeping busy in retirement.
Have added you to my links on my blog...Welcome Home, and thanks for your service.
I am a retired police officer. In an inexplicable moment of madness I then became a high school history teacher in 2002. As I navigate through daily life I am keenly aware that my generation owes the country an apology for the 1960s. Although I was not an active participant, on behalf of all the burned out hippies that are leading most of our institutions of higher learning, I'm sorry!
